When visitors leave comments on the site, the data shown in the comments form is collected, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from an email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether it is in use. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here. After comment approval, a profile picture may be visible publicly in the context of the comment.
Media
If images are uploaded to the website, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may be able to download and extract location data from images posted on the site.
Cookies
If a visitor leaves a comment, they may opt in to saving their name, email address and website in cookies. These cookies exist for convenience and last for one year.
If a visitor accesses the login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether the browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when the browser is closed.
When logging in, cookies are set to save login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login persistence to two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
If an article is edited or published, a cookie may be stored in the browser indicating the post ID of the edited article. This cookie contains no personal data and expires after one day.

Articles on HomeFetch may include embedded content such as videos, images or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves as though the visitor has accessed that external site directly.
These websites may collect data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking and monitor interactions with embedded content, particularly if a user is logged into those services.
Data Sharing
Personal information is not sold or traded. If a password reset is requested, the IP address may be included in the reset email.
User Rights
Comments and associated metadata may be retained indefinitely to allow automatic recognition and approval of follow-up comments.
For registered users (if applicable), personal information provided in user profiles is stored. Users may view, edit or delete their personal information at any time, except for usernames. Site administrators may also access and edit this information.
